Sharing best practices at the Western European Platform

From October 16th until October 20th the Western European Platform (WEP) 2014 took place at Utrecht CS. This event brings together 155 Western European board members of sections of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN). Together they discussed matters concerning ESN on an international level and student mobility in Europe and shared best practices. With being all about sharing knowledge, this made it the perfect location for this event.

The Erasmus Student Network was founded in 1989, so that means we’ve been around for 25 years! Since then ESN has grown to a network of 464 sections in 37 countries. The local sections make sure that the international students in their city get to know their way around and are able to get in touch with the locals and their culture. The sections do this by organizing social, sportive and cultural activities for the international students.

ESN Utrecht is the first section of the network that was founded. So after 25 years the network went back to Utrecht again. During four days the participants will enjoy their plenary sessions and small sessions at During the evenings they will enjoy the rest of Utrecht and see the highlights of our beautiful city.

We celebrated our 25th anniversary during the WEP together with and it was amazing!
