I have been working with Seats2meet as a location manager in Bangladesh for a long time. My co-working space happens to be one of the interesting places in a Bangladeshi rural village. Here is my story of connecting with the seats2meet network and building a location in a remote village.

Because I work with the Seats2meet network, it’s very simple that most of my friends and colleagues live in the Netherlands. I always wanted to meet them in reality. But, I was twice visa rejected by the Netherlands, and the reason was easy to guess. I am poor and young and it seems like embassy only care about how much money you have on your bank account. It is my dream to visit Seats2meet spaces and sit and talk. But, once a legend said, dreams are not often the reality.

But hey, the technology is so advanced that now-a-days you can live your dream. Yes, that’s exactly what happened to me.

My friend Raoul Postel arranged a “Tech Tuesday” event inside the Seats2meet Utrecht CS location like always. It is an event jointly arranged by PFLab and Seats2meet. I am an initiator of both ventures and I always get notification and feel sad because I wanna join it so much.

Last “Tech Tuesday” meetup was surprising and special. My friend Jurjen De Vries knocked me 20 minutes before the meetup and asked if I was joining or not. I thought he was joking. It seemed that way. Because, I am here thousands of miles away. But he told me, I can join with my Oculus Quest 2 VR. I was going mad and asked Jurjen about the whole process.

Thanks to my friend and seats2meet for sharing an Oculus Vr headset with us. Getting a VR was another cool story I have written in this magazine. You can read how Seats2meet Bangladesh got connected with the VR world.

Anyway, I joined the meeting room inside VR and man, it was a whole new world. They actually created a Virtual VR room on mozila hubs where you can roam around and it looks exactly the same as the real location. I knew all the places from the photos of many of my friends these days. But finally I was exploring the reception, hall room, and small meeting spaces. It was an amazing experience.

Here are some photos I took while roaming around the location. Looks familiar to you guys?

It is fun, open sourced and anyone can explore those rooms anytime. If you are looking forward to a co-workings space in Utrecht and very confused, you can have a look with your phones, computer or VR anytime you want. That will give you a perfect understanding on how cool it will be for you by simply visiting this link –https://hubs.mozilla.com/W3vKCEg/permanent-future-lab-utrecht.

The VR option will be perfect although mobile and computer views are not bad. You can also host meetups on that rooms too or invite others to join.

Got a VR? Want to have a meetup?

See you in the next blog.
